A new attraction will be created in Slovak Paradise. It is an experience trip that combines physical activity, rest and the history of the local area around Marcel Castle near Hrabušice.

It is a project of the Zelená hora civic association that received a subsidy of 40,000 euros from the Košice self-governing region as part of the Terra Incognita program.

By repairing the existing hiking trail, a fitness sports trail will be built. The project also includes archaeological research and partial restoration of the remaining walls. New tourist shelter will be built, as well as the so-called land-art objects together with the text-image and multimedia information boards.

Entertainment and education

According to the regional administration, interactive and themed trails or parks are currently a popular attraction. Their goal is to entertain, educate and, above all, engage visitors in a specific activity.

As part of this project, elements designed to support physical activity will be installed in the area and they will be accessible throughout the year for free.

Smaller events or children exercises will also take place there.

There will also be a magical forest, i.e. a multi-purpose area primarily intended for relaxation and observation of the surrounding nature.

The plan is also to build an access and relaxation infracstructure.

"The trail itself will be built in the area below Zelená hora, in the close vicinity of the Včely raja complex. This will create a unique complex project for the visitors. We especially want to attract families with children and it will also be an alternative for those visitors who do not dare to go to the gorges of Slovak Paradise," stated Ladislav Novotný, chairman of Zelená hora association.
